Set Goals, Not Traps for Yourself

I’m all about setting goals and finding ways to grow in my career and as a person. But sometimes I go a little overboard. Sometimes I set goals that aren’t really goals; they’re aspirations that aren’t aligned with my true goals at all.

What do I mean by that? You’ll have to listen in to this week’s video to find out. But know that as you’re setting goals for the year, the quarter, the month, or even the week, it’s important to ask yourself WHY those are your goals.

And then ask yourself again, after some time has passed.

Your why, values, and goals change over time. And that means that the original goal you set might not align with where you want to go anymore. That’s okay!
